Direct install failing (e.g. NotReadableError after selecting the card)? Use Download .zip and extract it to the microSD root — it works in any browser and writes no files directly.
USB install requires Chrome or Edge with Web Serial support and a data-capable USB-C cable. If the Pip-Boy doesn't appear in the picker, make sure it isn't already open in the Espruino IDE or the web updater. This writes files over the device's console via require("fs") the same way copying to the card does — it never flashes firmware or uses "Send to Espruino".
